Léo Caillard is a contemporary French sculptor born in Paris in 1985. He is renowned for the quality of his sculptures in marble, bronze and resin, as well as for his original and innovative art installations.
After studying art, he took a keen interest in marble sculpture, which he saw as a means of expressing his creativity in a more personal way. Among his most famous works are the “Hipsters in Stone” series, in which he transforms classic statues into modern hipsters, and his recent “Wave Stone” series, in which classical figurative marble meets abstract undulations.
The notion of time is at the heart of his artistic vision. Through works that open up an open dialogue between past, present and future.
Endowed with unique know-how, his works respect the codes of sculptural nobility, and are part of a classic/contemporary register that makes a lasting impression.
His attention to detail, inimitable technique and approach to materials and time have earned him a reputation as a “one of a kind” artist and trendsetter.
